A 24 hour loop.
We humans live in 24 hour cycles.
In other words, "life" is a single day that repeats around ~25K times. (assuming a 70 year lifespan).
If you are reading this, a third of that time is probably already gone.
So all your goals and aspirations (let's call this X) relies on how much incremental progress is made each day.
There is no overnight magic, but there is strong compounding effect of consistent effort put in on a daily basis.
The key questions, I suppose, one has to ask are:
1. What are the specific activities I need to do each day to achieve X? (small tasks consistently done compound and produce results)
2. How do I make these activites as enjoyable as possible? (forced labour is fleeting; would you still go through with this if X is not a guaranteed outcome?)
3. Most importantly, what is X and why do I want it?
Correct why’s are hard to identify and accept until one is forced very hard to look within and identify the part that was closed ages back because of societal expectations and pressure to fit in. As Carl Jung said “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own souls.”
