🚀 Day 40 – Abstraction in Java Today I learned the fourth pillar of Object-Oriented Programming: Abstraction. 🔹 Abstraction means hiding implementation details and showing only essential features to the user. 📌 Key Topics Covered: • Abstract Class • Abstract Method • Rules of Abstraction • Concrete vs Abstract Methods • Why abstract classes cannot be instantiated • How abstraction works with inheritance 💡 Important Points: ✔ Abstract methods do not have a body ✔ A class containing an abstract method must be declared as abstract ✔ Child classes must override abstract methods ✔ Abstraction improves code flexibility, readability, and maintainability 🧠 Real-world understanding: Examples like ATM machines, remote controls, and mobile apps show how users interact with features without knowing the internal implementation. Practiced Java programs using abstract classes and methods to better understand how abstraction works in real applications. Special thanks to Sharath R sir for the clear explanation and real-world examples that made the concept easy to understand. 📍 Learning and growing every day at Tap Academy. #Java #Abstraction #OOP #CoreJava #JavaDeveloper #Programming #LearningJourney #TapAcademy #Coding

🚀 Day 8/45 – Taking User Input in Java using Scanner On Day 8 of my Java learning journey, I learned how to make programs interactive by taking input from the user. Until now, I was using fixed values in my programs, but today I explored how to accept dynamic input using the Scanner class. 📚 What I Learned Today Today I learned: ✔ How to use the Scanner class from java.util package ✔ Taking input using methods like nextInt(), next(), and nextLine() ✔ Writing programs that respond based on user input 💻 Practice Work To apply my learning, I implemented: • Addition of two numbers using user input • Even or odd number checker using input • Simple interest calculator using user-provided values 🎯 Key Takeaway Taking input from users makes programs dynamic and interactive. This is an important step toward building real-world applications. Practicing daily is helping me improve both my coding and problem-solving skills. #Java #Programming #LearningInPublic #software #CodingJourney #SoftwareDevelopment #Consistency

How Old Are Popular Programming Languages? A Quick Timeline 👩💻👨💻 One thing that surprises many new developers is this: some of the most widely used programming languages today are decades old — and still going strong! Here’s a quick timeline: 🧠 Older than most developers Lisp — 1958 C — 1972 C++ — 1980 ☕ The 90s powerhouses Python — 1990 Java — 1995 JavaScript — 1995 PHP — 1995 🚀 Modern languages Go — 2009 Rust — 2010 Kotlin — 2011 TypeScript — 2012 Swift — 2014 💡 Key insight: A programming language doesn’t become obsolete just because it’s old. Many “older” languages are still the backbone of modern systems because they continue evolving with new features, frameworks, and communities. In tech, longevity often means reliability and maturity. Out of curiosity — which programming language did you learn first? 👇 #Programming #SoftwareDevelopment #Coding #ProgrammingLanguages #DeveloperLife #LearnToCode #TechLearning #ComputerScience #CodingJourney #Developers #TechEducation #SoftwareEngineering #CodingCommunity

Understanding Inheritance in Java – Simplified! Excited to share my latest infographic on one of the core concepts of Object-Oriented Programming – Inheritance in Java. This poster covers: 🔹 What inheritance is and how it works 🔹 Different types of inheritance (Single, Multilevel, Hierarchical, Hybrid) 🔹 Why multiple and cyclic inheritance are not allowed in Java 🔹 The Diamond Problem and its impact 🔹 Key Java keywords like extends, implements, super, @Override 🔹 Benefits such as code reusability, maintainability, and scalability 🔹 Real-world examples to make concepts easier to understand 💡 One key takeaway: Java ensures simplicity and avoids ambiguity by restricting multiple inheritance through classes and instead uses interfaces as a powerful alternative. Creating this helped me strengthen my understanding of OOP concepts and how Java maintains clean and efficient code structures. 📌 Learn Smart. Code Efficiently. Build Reusable Systems. #Java #OOP #Programming #SoftwareDevelopment #Learning #Coding #ComputerScience #StudentDeveloper #TechEducation TAP Academy

🚀 Day 15/45 – Understanding Polymorphism in Java On Day 15 of my Java learning journey, I explored Polymorphism, one of the key pillars of Object-Oriented Programming. Polymorphism allows the same method to behave differently based on the context, making code more flexible and reusable. 📚 What I Learned Today Today I learned: ✔ What polymorphism is and why it is important ✔ Method overloading (compile-time polymorphism) ✔ Method overriding (runtime polymorphism) ✔ Difference between overloading and overriding 💻 Practice Work To apply my learning, I implemented: • A method overloading example using different parameters • A method overriding example using inheritance 🎯 Key Takeaway Polymorphism improves code flexibility and helps in designing scalable applications. It allows developers to use a single interface with multiple implementations. Understanding these OOP concepts step by step is strengthening my programming foundation. #Java #Programming #LearningInPublic #CodingJourney #SoftwareDevelopment #OOP

Day 25 of My Java Learning Journey 🚀 Today I learned about Association in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Association represents a HAS-A relationship between classes. 📌 Example: A Mobile phone has a Charger and an Operating System. There are two types of Association: 🔹 Aggregation (Loose Relationship) Objects can exist independently. Example: Mobile → Charger Even if the mobile is lost, the charger can still exist. 🔹 Composition (Strong Relationship) Objects cannot exist independently. Example: Mobile → Operating System If the mobile is destroyed, the operating system is also destroyed. 💡 Memory Trick • IS-A → Inheritance • HAS-A → Association Association includes: ✔ Aggregation (Loose relationship) ✔ Composition (Strong relationship) Understanding these concepts helps in designing better object-oriented programs. I’m improving my Java and OOP concepts step by step on my journey to becoming a Software Developer. 🚀 #Java #OOP #Programming #LearningJourney #100DaysOfCode #SoftwareDevelopment
