There are two ways to approach a bug. First: Try different fixes. Change things. Hope something works. Second: Pause. Understand the system. Trace the flow. Ask what actually changed. The first one feels faster. The second one works better. Because debugging is not about trying harder. It’s about seeing clearly. #softwareengineering #debugging

One small change that helped me a lot: I stopped trying to fix everything at once. When something breaks, I now focus on just one issue at a time. Read the error. Test one thing. Move step by step. Sounds simple, but it changed how I debug completely. Less panic. More control. Most problems look big because we treat them all together. Break them down — they become manageable. Do you debug step by step… or jump around like I used to? 😅 #WebDevelopment #Debugging

Tutorial for Pick and place with arm_api2. Here's what you would normally write: → MoveIt action clients → Threading and timing logic → "Wait until settled" feedback loops → Gripper integration Here's what you write with arm_api2: → A YAML file with named steps → ros2 run arm_api2 pick_place_sequence.py That's the full application surface. Same API regardless of arm - UR, Franka, Kinova. Full tutorial with Gazebo sim, Docker setup, and step-by-step joint/Cartesian control walkthrough. Link in the first comment. Check it out!

Most people learn how to use tools but real skill is learning how they are built. In this workshop, Will Sentance walks through building your own OpenClaw and breaking down how systems like this actually work. You can even code through it yourself step by step with the challenge repo! Don’t just learn to use these tools, learn how these tools are built. 👉 Try the challenges: https://hubs.ly/Q04bkf7D0 #SoftwareEngineering #SystemDesign #AIEngineering #LearnToCode #OpenSource

Spent 3 hours on a bug today. the fix was 2 lines. I'm fine. but here's the thing nobody tells you about debugging: It's not really about finding the bug. It's about slowly eliminating everything you assumed was working. I assumed the input was clean. It wasn't. I assumed the third-party response was consistent. It wasn't. I assumed my logic was right. It was. (small win) 3 hours to unlearn 3 wrong assumptions. debugging is just trust issues with your own code. how many lines was your most painful fix? 👇
