I spent some time today just renaming things in my code. Not changing logic. Not adding features. Just naming things better. Functions that were too generic. Variables that didn’t clearly say what they hold. Files that didn’t reflect what they actually do. It felt unnecessary at first. But once the names started making sense, the whole code became easier to read. Less guessing. Less confusion while coming back to the same file. I’m starting to realize that good naming does a lot of the work on its own. Still building. Why does learning a framework feel difficult at first? 🤔 It’s usually not because the framework is too complex. React Learning Moment !! Today, while revising some React concepts I've studied before, I suddenly found myself stuck at the props.children concept. I spent a few minutes really focusing on it, and now I finally understand why it's so powerful and useful! In React, props.children allows a parent component to pass any nested content to a child component. This makes components flexible and reusable, letting you separate layout/styling from content. For example, in my practice project: The Parent component passes content. The Son and Daughter components render this content using {props.children}. 🚀 React Series – Day 6 Handling User Actions in React (Events Made Simple) User interaction is at the heart of every application - clicks, typing, form submissions. In React, handling these actions is straightforward and similar to JavaScript, with a few small differences. Events are written in camelCase, such as: • onClick • onChange • onSubmit Instead of writing inline logic, it’s better to pass a function as a handler. This keeps the code clean and maintainable. 👉 One small but important detail: always pass the function reference, not the function call. 🚀 Starting a 10-part series on React things that make code harder than it needs to be. Not tutorials. Not “10 hooks you should know.” Just real patterns that show up in actual codebases and make simple work more annoying than it should be. Part 1: A lot of React problems are really state problems. Not React itself. Not JSX. Not even hooks most of the time. State living in too many places. Duplicated state. State doing jobs it was never supposed to do. That’s usually when an app starts feeling harder to reason about than it should. The more I work with React, the more I think good frontend code starts with good state decisions. If the state is messy, everything downstream gets harder: debugging feature work testing handoffs even basic collaboration Good React usually feels predictable. 💻 5 React mistakes I stopped making (and it improved my code a lot) When I started with React, I used to write code that worked… But not code that was clean, scalable, and maintainable. Here are 5 mistakes I fixed: ❌ 1. Writing everything in one component 👉 Now I break UI into small reusable components ❌ 2. Ignoring proper state management 👉 Learned when to use useState vs useEffect vs lifting state ❌ 3. Not handling performance 👉 Started using memoization (useMemo, useCallback) ❌ 4. Poor folder structure 👉 Now I follow a clean project structure ❌ 5.
