Friday Data Reflection: One thing I’m learning while building data projects: Insights don’t come from data alone, they come from context. The same numbers can mean very different things depending on: • the business goal • the time period • the audience That’s why analysis is not just about “what the data says” but also “what it means for a decision.” Good analysts connect data to action. Still learning. Still building. #DataAnalytics #SQL #Python #BusinessIntelligence #LearningInPublic
The same data can point in very different directions depending on the context around it. A lot of the value comes from understanding that context and connecting it to what’s actually happening on the ground.
This is such an important realization. Data without context is easy to misinterpret — but context without a clear decision still leaves things open-ended.
Numbers don’t decide, people do. Context bridges the gap.
A helpful habit is to always ask: “So what?”After finding an insight, I try to connect it to a decision or action. That’s what makes the analysis useful.
