Java mistake that silently kills performance in prod: Using == to compare Strings instead of .equals() == checks reference identity. .equals() checks actual content. "hello" == "hello" can be true in dev (string pool). It will quietly be false at runtime with real data. Seen it take down an auth flow. Not once.
