You no longer need years of traditional coding experience to create useful software or build a website. But you do need to understand how the pieces fit together. My 1:1 Build, ship and grow programme teaches the full process by building something real. You learn Git because you need to save your work. You learn databases because your app needs data. You learn hosting because your product needs to go live. You learn debugging because things will break. By the end of 8 weeks, you will have brought an idea to life and understand how your product works, how to make changes, and how to use AI coding tools with more confidence. https://lnkd.in/eK-Qte8B #ai #coding #UK

I have found that making a thorough comprehensive plan that covers the entire life cycle starts of the project sets the foundation for AI assisted coding. Next, I extract 100 plus skills I required for the plan. The skills are not just technical, I ask it to make behavioral skills, search the web to look for anti-patterns and contrarian information as well. Then ask it to implement it as an auto loading opencode skill. The output that I get using this method has vastly improve from the standard plan/build methodologies. In short, I ask it to search the web to become smarter. It works.

Time for some personal Sunday reflections. I’ve spent decades learning programming languages, tools, and ecosystems. That’s a massive investment in skills that are now, at least partly, automated. So what happens next? Are software developers still a thing in a few years? Or are we heading toward the same fate as lamplighters and horse carriages? I don’t buy the “AI automates all software development” narrative. But this is no longer the same job. I wrote down what I’m seeing, and what I believe comes next. Great article Adam Tornhill , very articulate on the direction of travel for future opportunities by way of AI. Nice to see something written with light at the end of the tunnel/green shoots vibes (no pun intended).

AI can write code in seconds… but most of us are still trapped in endless "vibe coding" loops — prompt, fix, re-prompt, repeat. There’s a better way. Spec-Driven Development (SDD) lets you stay in full control: - You write one clear specification - AI implements it reliably - You iterate by simply updating the spec (never fighting the code) Hence, I am announcing this new course https://lnkd.in/dg5z3B4F on SDD! In this practical, hands-on course you’ll go from: → Building CLI tools with precision → Creating real web apps → All the way to full-stack projects and production workflows -------- without coding!! ---------- 32 hours • Project-based • Python-focused (Yes!, we need you to review the AI generated code) If you’re a Python developer (2+ years exp) tired of babysitting AI tools, this course will change how you build software. DM me for more details about the course. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dg5z3B4F #SpecDrivenDevelopment #AIForDevelopers #FutureOfCoding #SDDMastery #VibeCoding

🚀 Meet Claude Code: The Future of AI-Powered Programming The way we write code is evolving—and fast. With the launch of Claude Code by Anthropic, we’re stepping into a new era where AI doesn’t just assist developers… it thinks, adapts, and builds alongside them. 💡 What makes Claude Code stand out? 🔹 Deep Context Understanding Handles massive codebases with a large context window—no more losing track of logic across files. 🔹 Smart Debugging Identifies and fixes issues faster, helping developers focus on innovation instead of errors. 🔹 Multi-language Support From Python to JavaScript and beyond—build across stacks seamlessly. 🔹 Developer-Centric Integrations Works smoothly with tools like GitHub, VS Code, and modern dev environments. 🔹 Customizable Coding Experience Adapts to your style, preferences, and project requirements. 🔥 Why this matters? We are moving from writing code manually → collaborating with AI systems that understand context, intent, and architecture. This isn’t just productivity. This is a paradigm shift in software development. 👨💻 Whether you’re a student, developer, or AI enthusiast—tools like Claude Code are redefining how we build the future. 👉 The question is: Are you ready to code with AI, not just use it? #ClaudeCode #AI #Programming #SoftwareDevelopment #ArtificialIntelligence #Coding #Developers #Innovation #FutureOfWork

The Death of the Semicolon Coding used to be about syntax. Tomorrow, it’s about intent. I call it "Vibe Coding," and it’s changing the world. First Principles: At its core, coding is just telling a machine what to do. For 50 years, we had to speak "Machine." Now, the machine finally speaks "Human." The Analogy: Traditional coding is like writing a 500-page manual on how to bake a cake. Vibe coding is like telling a master chef: "I want something chocolatey, light, and fancy." Why this is huge: The Idea is King: You don't need to spend 4 years learning Python to build an app. You just need a clear vision. Rapid Iteration: Want to change the "feel" of your app? Don't rewrite the CSS. Just tell the AI to make it "more retro." Democratization: The wall between "creatives" and "engineers" is crumbling. The Reality Check: Vibe coding isn't "magic." It’s a high-speed translation of your logic. If your "vibe" is messy and confused, your app will be messy and confused. The first principle of the future: You must not fool yourself—and with AI, it’s easier than ever to build something you don't understand. Focus on the what and the why. Let the AI handle the how. Are you ready to code with your "vibes"? 🚀 #AI #SoftwareEngineering #VibeCoding

💡 Most students are learning to code… but not many are using AI to write code. I recently explored GitHub Copilot, and honestly — it feels like having a coding partner that understands your logic and helps you build faster. From generating functions to suggesting fixes, it’s changing how developers approach problem-solving. What surprised me the most is how easily it integrates into tools like VS Code — making it super accessible even for students 🚀 If you're into coding, this is something you should definitely try 👇 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gPrpqhP2 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gFhSFr5f Curious — would you trust AI to help you write your code? 🤔 #MicrosoftLearn #StudentAmbassador #GitHubCopilot #AI #Coding #Developers #Tech

I’m currently on a mission to learn AI-driven development. However, I strongly believe that in this era of AI, understanding the fundamentals of coding is still essential. Even though AI can generate code efficiently, using it effectively requires a deep understanding of how things work under the hood. That’s why I’ve started revisiting core concepts—beginning with JavaScript fundamentals. Today, I explored the .reduce() method and applied it to solve several practical problems: 🔹 Calculating the total cost of items in a cart 🔹 Finding the highest-scoring player 🔹 Building a lookup table for faster data access (O(1) time complexity) 🔹 Counting occurrences from survey responses This journey is not about competing with AI—but about strengthening my fundamentals so I can collaborate with it more effectively. My goal: Build a strong foundation and grow into an engineer who knows both what to build and why it works. #JavaScript #WebDevelopment #AIDevelopment #LearningJourney #Programming #ComputerScience
