The #1 mistake new authors make (and how to avoid it) Most new authors hand over everything to the publisher. Then they wait for magic. Guess what? It never comes. Publishers are not magicians. They are business partners. The #1 mistake? Thinking a publisher will “make” your book successful. Truth: publishers handle editing, design, distribution. They don’t build your audience. They don’t create your credibility. That’s YOUR job. The fix? 👉 Build your platform before publishing. 👉 Start marketing 90 days before launch. 👉 Treat your book like a startup, not a hobby. You wouldn’t open a shop without customers. Why launch a book without readers? Are you ready to take control of your publishing journey?

I’ve seen it too many times. An author launches their book — great reviews, strong message, solid content. But three weeks later? Silence. Not because the book wasn’t good. Because no one saw it. Visibility isn’t just about showing up — it’s about being remembered. It’s how readers go from “I’ve seen that name before” to “I trust this voice.” You don’t build a brand by launching once. You build it by showing up consistently in a way that feels human. Here’s what that looks like: - People buy people. - Purpose builds loyalty. - Reels, shorts, stories — every second builds recognition. Visibility compounds faster than any ad budget ever will. Your launch might make sales. But your visibility? That’s what builds your legacy.

Your Book Needs an Author Home Hub — Not Just Social Media Many authors underestimate the power of having their own Author Home Hub—your digital headquarters where readers come to learn, connect, and buy. Think of it as your online home, not just another webpage. Social media gives you visibility, but your Author Home Hub gives you credibility. Here’s why every author needs one: 📌 1. Control Your Narrative Algorithms change. Platforms fade. But your Author Home Hub remains the one place you fully own—your story, your message, your brand. 📌 2. Build Direct Reader Relationships Your hub allows readers to sign up for your community, join your updates, and interact with your work without distractions. 📌 3. Showcase Your Books Like a Pro A dedicated space to highlight your books, events, media features, reviews, and author journey boosts professionalism instantly. 📌 4. Increase Opportunities Publishers, agents, event organizers, and book clubs search for authors with a solid digital presence. Your hub makes you easier to trust and choose. 📌 5. Sell With Confidence With the right structure, your Author Home Hub becomes your personal bookstore — open 24/7, worldwide. Authors, don’t rely on borrowed platforms alone. Own your digital space. Build your Author Home Hub. #AuthorBranding #BookMarketingTips #AuthorLife #WritersCommunity #SelfPublishingTips #DigitalPresence #IndieAuthor #WritingJourney #BookSpecialist #AuthorGrowth #Rachytechdigital1

If your proposal reads like a personal essay, it won’t grab the interest you’re hoping for. Agents and editors are scanning for 4 things: ✅ A clear concept that’s easy to sell. ✅ A defined audience that actually buys books. ✅ A proven platform – you don’t need to be famous, but you do need reach. ✅ A simple plan for how you’ll promote it. When all four click, your proposal says, “This author is ready for business.” That’s how deals get made. Read more tips in the latest post 👉 https://lnkd.in/exJ4U7K5

🎬 Bringing Books to Life | Cinematic Trailer Experience for Author 🌟 I recently had the pleasure of creating cinematic book trailers for incredible authors, D.R. Spires, author of Mit-Ro-Don. Trailer was crafted to capture emotion, intrigue, and connection, turning their stories into powerful visual experiences that spark curiosity and drive reader engagement. 📚 Why Every Author Needs a Cinematic Trailer: 🎥 It turns your book into a visual story that connects instantly. 📈 It helps you attract new readers and increase book visibility. 💬 It gives your marketing a professional edge, perfect for ads, reels, and launch campaigns. 🚀 It strengthens your author brand and builds anticipation before release. Books are not just to be read, they’re meant to be felt, seen, and experienced. A well-crafted trailer helps you reach hearts before hands ever touch the cover. ❤️ Would you love to see how your book could come alive in cinematic form? I’d be glad to share a few samples or brainstorm a concept for your story. 🎬 #Authors #Readers #BookTrailer #BookMarketing #CinematicVideo #AuthorBranding #Storytelling #BookLaunch #FarukOlaOlalekan

Ever received a publishing offer and immediately wondered, “Is this legit?” I did. After publishing my paper, Globe Edit came knocking with a book deal. Exciting? Sure. But also terrifying. How do you know if a publisher is the real deal or just a mirage? I nearly dove in without asking questions. Here’s what saved me: 1️⃣ Research beyond the website. Forums, reviews, and LinkedIn profiles tell stories that polished sites don’t. 2️⃣ Ask about the process: marketing, distribution, royalties — transparency is non-negotiable. 3️⃣ Lean on communities. Fellow authors and investors know the pitfalls and the gems. Publishing isn’t just about printing pages; it’s building a platform that lasts. That’s why I eventually chose a partner who helped me write, market, and publish my book—steering clear of surprises. It’s less about flashy offers and more about trustworthy support. Have you ever felt stuck choosing between publishers or offers? What questions helped you make the call? Let’s share our experiences below. Because behind every book is a story not just written — but carefully published. #PublishingJourney #BookWriting #AuthorAdvice #IndiePublishing

I thought the publisher was the magician that would turn my book into a global best seller. Like the alchemists of old reputed for turning copper into gold. ALL FAKE. Your book depends on you. Marketing a book is 100 times harder than writing a book. Note that as you set sights to writing a book. Ready to get started with your 1st book? Let's talk.
