As an experienced software engineer, I can tell you what no AI-hype LinkedIn account will: You can vibe-code your way to production, but you won’t be able to handle a 3 AM incident. The story changes completely if you actually write code as a professional. The system you won’t be able to handle at 3 AM is vibe-coded by someone else #SoftwareEngineering #Coding #Programming #DevLife #Tech #Engineering #AI #MachineLearning
"While I Agree to this. AI is a tool, not a replacement for accountability. While the tech is optional, our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices are not. We mitigate the risk of 'vibe-coding' by ensuring every automated output is validated by human expertise. We don't scale on trust; we scale on verifiable quality."
Clicking on "Keep All", "Accept All" blindly leads to this situation. "Review" option is provided to avoid these situations
Vibe coding ships fast, but debugging someone else's AI-generated mess at 3 AM with zero context? That's where the graduation path matters.
Anthropic made amazing progress in the last 3-5 months. That said, I don't believe decisions can be fully offloaded to Claude. And you are right - if an engineer pushes code without taking responsibility, they are not needed.
I’m sure there are multiple AI companies working on solving the 3am problem
