Your HubSpot isn’t generating revenue because of this. I see this all the time. A business has HubSpot set up… but it’s not actually helping them generate revenue. It’s just storing contacts. Deals sit there. Notes are half filled in. Emails aren’t connected. And no one really trusts the data. The issue usually isn’t HubSpot. It’s that it hasn’t been set up around the sales process. HubSpot should show you: • where leads came from • who’s been contacted • what stage they’re in • what needs to happen next If it can’t answer those questions quickly, it becomes admin instead of a tool. A simple check you can do today Open your pipeline and ask Can I see what every deal needs next? If not, that’s where to start fixing it.

I was on a scoping call with a prospect recently. They wanted to move to HubSpot, but their core data lived in an on-prem platform. The immediate assumption was that we needed to build a real-time, bidirectional sync on day one. I asked them to hit pause. Do your marketing and sales teams actually need real-time data to send a newsletter or track an opportunity pipeline? Usually, they don't. A nightly batch update is often more than enough to get the visibility you need. We call this the minimum viable integration. Complexity adds risk. Simplicity scales. Let’s get the core CRM stood up and adopted before we try to boil the ocean.
