I just implemented one and wanted to share a clean, step-by-step approach. We built a multi-step "Add Listing" wizard where users could optionally set their location directly on a map. Here’s a quick breakdown of the tech stack and logic: 🛠 The Tech Stack: · Frontend: React.js with a custom wizard component · Mapping: React-Leaflet & Leaflet (lightweight & open-source) · Icons: Lucide React · State Management: React's useState & useEffect 💡 The Implementation & Key Features: 1. Optional Location: A simple toggle lets users decide if they want to add a location, keeping the form flexible. 2. Interactive Picker: Used Leaflet's useMapEvents to capture a click on the map and update the coordinates in our form state instantly. 3. User-Friendly Preview: The selected coordinates are displayed below the map for clarity. 4. Seamless UX: The map is neatly integrated into a multi-step form flow, allowing users to navigate back and forth without losing their data.
