Pro tip Studio 5000: Use MOD (Modulo) to calculate offsets with rollover. Example: A conveyor encoder rolls over at 360 counts. Inspection is at 300. Reject cylinder is 100 counts downstream. Formula: (CurrentPosition + Offset) MOD Rollover (300 + 100) MOD 360 = 40 This keeps your position math valid even after rollover. Now add a FIFO for long distance product tracking. (Be warned, this is not as easy as one thinks)

Revised my old model of VerticalStorageLift in #Emulate3d. I was amased. As earlier I took more complex logic. But now I have found that it could be done in a simple and stright forward way. It is because the part of needed behavior is built-in into the Rack script, however with some limitations. This case is more exploratory and for a video presentation as the simulation of VSL and semiautomatic equipment is hardly justifiable. some notice: the parented lift of crane is always back to the intial position, but it evokes some misbehavior and leads to longer dastanse travel of the cycle. I'll see whether it could be changed whith a script in a new addition. This more flexible behavior i would like to have also for all standard vechicles with parented lifts.
