Day 1 - Python Gotcha This one catches 70% of candidates in interviews! It looks simple but tests a critical Python concept: mutable object references. When you write b = a, you are NOT creating a copy. Both a and b point to the SAME list in memory. So modifying b also modifies a. This is why interviewers love this question - it separates those who truly understand Python memory model. Drop your answer below! Correct answers get a heart. Save this for your next interview. #python #interviewquestions #datascience #codinginterview #pythontricks #mutableobjects #programming #techinterview #datascientist #learnpython

Most people don’t fail Python interviews because they don’t know Python. They fail because they don’t know how to think with it. There’s a big difference between writing code… and writing code that shows depth. A lot of candidates stay stuck at: syntax-level answers basic examples surface-level explanations But interviews (especially good ones) look for something else: → how you optimize → how you structure logic → how you handle real-world scenarios One shift that makes a huge difference: Start focusing less on “what” and more on “why this approach”. That’s where you stand out. I’ve put together something that reflects exactly this gap. Not just questions but the kind that actually test how you think. Worth a read.
