Through these exercises, I understood how JavaScript can process datasets efficiently using clean and readable functional-style code. Day 7/100 of JavaScript 🚀 Today’s Topic: Taking input in JavaScript. In browser-based JavaScript, input can be taken using: - "prompt()" - Input fields (DOM) On platforms like LeetCode, input is already provided as function parameters Example: var twoSum = function(nums, target) { // input is already given }; So the focus is on writing logic, not handling input However, some coding platforms (or local environments) do not provide inbuilt input handling. In such cases, we use Node.js Example: process.stdin.on("data", (data) => { const input = data.toString().trim(); console.log(input); }); This allows us to read input from the console Key understanding: - Platforms like LeetCode handle input internally - Other platforms and local setups require manual input handling using Node.js Understanding both approaches is important for coding practice #Day7 #JavaScript #100DaysOfCode

🚀 From Tricky to Clear — My JavaScript Practice Journey🚀 💡Today I worked on a couple of problems that initially felt tricky, but after breaking them down step by step, I was able to solve them completely. 💡 🔹 Problem 1: String to Object Conversion I learned how to transform a string into meaningful key-value pairs by grouping characters and mapping them into an object. 👉 This improved my understanding of: • String manipulation • Index-based iteration • How data can be structured dynamically 🔹 Problem 2: Rearranging Array (Positive & Negative) This problem was more challenging. I worked on separating positive and negative numbers and then merging them in a specific pattern. 👉 Key takeaways: • Logical thinking and pattern recognition • Handling multiple arrays efficiently • Using loops to control data flow step by step ✨ What I realized: At first, these problems looked confusing, but once I broke them into smaller parts, they became much easier to solve. 🚀 Day 4/30 – JavaScript Challenge Solved: Counter II (LeetCode 2665) Today’s problem was all about understanding closures and how functions can maintain their own state in JavaScript. What I learned: 1.How closures help preserve variable values across function calls 2.Creating multiple operations (increment, decrement, reset) using a single function 3.Clean use of arrow functions for concise code Approach: I created a function that stores the initial value and returns an object with three methods: 1.increment() -> increases value 2.decrement() -> decreases value 3.reset() -> resets to initial value All of this works because of closure, where the inner functions still remember the variable n. Key Insight: Closures are powerful when you need to encapsulate data and control how it’s modified — a very common pattern in real-world JavaScript applications. Day 2 of My JavaScript Journey 🚀 Today, I learned about values and variables in JavaScript. Values are the most fundamental unit of information in programming. Everything in JavaScript is built around values; numbers, text, true/false, etc. Variables, on the other hand, are like containers (or boxes) used to store these values so they can be reused later in a program. For example: let age = 20; Here, "20" is the value, and "age" is the variable storing it. One simple way to understand it: Values = the data Variables = where the data is stored Key takeaway: Variables make it easier to manage and reuse data efficiently in your code. JavaScript Closures — made simple 💡 Closures sound complex… but they’re actually simple once you get the idea. A closure is when a function remembers variables from its outer scope even after the outer function has finished executing. Think of it like this: An inner function carries a “backpack” of variables and never forgets them. How it works: 1. Outer function creates a variable 2. Inner function uses that variable 3. Outer function returns the inner function 4. Inner function still has access to that variable Why closures are powerful: • Data privacy (encapsulation) • Maintain state between function calls • Used in callbacks, event handlers, React hooks • Foundation for advanced JavaScript concepts Real-world uses: • Counters • Private variables • One-time execution functions • Custom hooks & memoization One-line takeaway: A closure = function with a memory of its lexical scope If you understand closures, you’re moving from basics to real JavaScript thinking.
