Day 50 of my #100DaysOfCode (Python Journey) Being disciplined is crucial to achieve your goals and this journey of 100 days 100 codes of python is about consistency and improving problem solving skills. Halfway through, and this journey has been more about discipline than motivation. Here’s what I’ve worked on so far: 🔹 Strengthened Python fundamentals (loops, functions, problem-solving) 🔹 Practiced Data Structures & Algorithms • Arrays, Lists, Dictionaries • Recursion • Trees (like checking if two trees are identical) 🔹 Learned and implemented OOP concepts • Classes & Objects • Inheritance & Polymorphism 🔹 Solved coding problems consistently to improve logic - Learnings: It’s not about doing something huge every day — it’s about showing up daily, even when you don’t feel like it. Consistency is the key. Still 50 days to go. Most people start learning Python… but quit halfway. Python isn’t difficult — the real problem is unstructured learning. Instead of jumping between random tutorials, I focused on building strong fundamentals like variables, loops, functions, and consistent practice. That’s when things finally clicked. I used to think learning Python just meant writing syntax and solving problems on platforms. But in 2026, I’m realizing it’s much deeper than that. It’s not just about knowing lists, functions, or OOP — it’s about understanding how to think like a developer. Lately, I’ve been focusing more on the fundamentals: - Writing cleaner functions instead of just “working code” - Actually understanding how data structures impact performance - Handling errors properly instead of ignoring them - Exploring libraries instead of reinventing everything One thing that changed my mindset: 👉 Python is not just a language anymore — it’s a tool to build real solutions. While going through 100 Skills to Better Python, one thing became clear: 👉 Knowing syntax is not enough 👉 Mastery comes from practice, patterns, and deeper concepts 💡 What stands out: The book is structured to push us through: 🔹 Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced programs 🔹 Real problem-solving scenarios 🔹 Practical coding techniques It’s not about memorizing… 👉 It’s about building thinking skills 🔍 Realization: From the exercises: 👉 We move from simple tasks like dictionaries and loops 👉 To algorithms like sorting and searching 👉 To advanced structures like stacks, queues, and trees. 🚀 Day 28 of My Python Learning Journey 🚀 Today I learned about two important OOP concepts: Abstraction and Interfaces (Abstract Classes) in Python. 📌 What is Abstraction? Abstraction means hiding implementation details and showing only essential features to the user. It helps in reducing complexity and improves code clarity. 📌 What is an Interface in Python? Python doesn’t have a direct “interface” keyword like some languages, but we achieve it using abstract classes from the "abc" module. These act like a contract — forcing subclasses to implement required methods. 📌 Key Points I Learned: 🔹 Abstract classes cannot be instantiated 🔹 They contain abstract methods (methods without implementation) 🔹 Subclasses must implement all abstract methods 🔹 Helps in achieving abstraction and polymorphism 📌 Simple Example: from abc import ABC, abstractmethod class Animal(ABC): @abstractmethod def sound(self): pass class Dog(Animal): def sound(self): print("Bark") Dog().sound() 📌 Real-World Use Cases I Practiced Today: ✔ Payment System (UPI & Card) ✔ Vehicle System (Car & Bike) ✔ Bank System (Interest Rate) ✔ Employee System (Salary) ✔ Shape Area Calculation ✔ Notification System (Email & SMS) ✔ Database Connections ✔ Online Courses Duration ✔ Transport Fare Calculation ✔ Storage Systems 💡 Key Takeaway: Abstract classes provide a blueprint, and subclasses bring them to life by implementing their own behavior. Most people learn Python by focusing on syntax. I’ve been trying to do the opposite. Instead of just writing code that works, I’ve been digging into a more fundamental idea: 👉 Everything in Python is an object — but more importantly, every object is defined by what it can do. That shift changed how I approach learning. Rather than memorizing how to use lists, strings, or functions, I’m trying to understand their roles: * Some objects hold data * Some objects execute behavior * Some objects create other objects * Some objects structure and organize information And the interesting part is: these roles overlap. A function is an object. A class is callable. A string has behavior. So instead of asking “what is this?”, I’ve started asking: 👉 “What capabilities does this object expose?” That way of thinking feels slower at first — but much more transferable. The goal isn’t to write code faster. It’s to understand systems well enough that you’re not guessing anymore.
