Exciting news: our first open-source ISP drivers are available now! You told us how important an open camera stack is, and we are thrilled to share our very first open ISP driver. We are starting with Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 and QRB2210 SoCs, that will pave the way for camera support in the Arduino Uno Q and broader range of platforms in the future. #opensource Foundries.io

Curobo library is great for active obstacle avoidance. To do so, should be combined with Nvidia Nvblox. However integration is not that smooth and takes quite the effort if you dont have specific setup. Hopefully, it will be further developed and contributed to allow easier integrations.

Hardware Bring-Up with QNX on Raspberry Pi 5 After setting up QNX Neutrino on my Raspberry Pi 5, I wanted to test the waters with some hardware. Blinking an LED, as boring as it may sound it still gets me excited! - It's like the "Hello World!" of embedded systems. What I've done so far: - Controlled GPIO pins via /dev/gpio/* to toggle LEDs - Read basic input from rotary encoders - Verified output states through LED on/off behaviour Key takeaways: - Low-level hardware interaction is essential before building complex systems. - Even something as simple as toggling LEDs reveals a lot about how the OS interfaces with hardware. #QNX #RTOS #EmbeddedSystems #RaspberryPi #Hardware #GPIO #SystemsProgramming #LearningByDoing

Single board computers have moved far beyond hobby projects. In 2026, they power everything from industrial automation and edge AI to robotics and smart devices - making the choice of platform more important and more complex, than ever. Our latest guide cuts through the noise, focusing on real-world use cases, practical trade-offs and what actually matters when selecting an SBC today. It also explores the rise of hybrid platforms, including the new Arduino UNO Q - combining Linux-level performance with real-time microcontroller control and opening the door to more integrated, capable systems. embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2026 our full recap is live. Three days on the floor in Nuremberg. Here's what the embedded industry is talking about: ◆ Edge AI is no longer experimental. Production-ready silicon with NPUs is shipping across every major vendor portfolio. ◆ Safety and security are first-class design requirements ,not afterthoughts. ◆ Open source is winning. Zephyr RTOS, RISC-V, and Yocto are gaining serious momentum. ◆ The ecosystem is the product. Silicon alone doesn't win anymore. → Full article: https://lnkd.in/eXV8MR9x

ESP32-S31 is officially released. With the launch of this new silicon from Espressif, the embedded community is buzzing. As we look at the future of the XIAO series, we face a critical product decision: Do we chase the cutting-edge specs of the S31, or double down on the proven ecosystem of the S3? The Comparison: 🔹 The ESP32-S31 Advantage: A powerhouse move to 320MHz dual-core RISC-V, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.4 (LE Audio + Classic), and a Gigabit Ethernet MAC. It’s built for high-bandwidth Edge AI. 🔹 The ESP32-S3 Reality: The S3 remains the industry benchmark for ecosystem readiness. With comprehensive Arduino support, stable Xtensa toolchains, and a massive library of community-proven resources, it ensures the fastest time-to-market for most developers. Our Philosophy: Hardware value isn't just about benchmarks; it's about solving real development pain points. We want to build the future with you. 🔗 Read the full blog, join the discussion, and influence our next release on the Open Roadmap: https://lnkd.in/g4Aemc-S #SeeedXIAO #ESP32 #ESP32S3 #TheAIHardwarePartner

ZenOS — think different, built from scratch. In this demo, the system takes another step forward. Not just new features, but a clearer vision becoming reality. • Multi-volume mounting • Format volumes directly from the GUI • Eject directly from the dock • AC97 & Intel HDA audio drivers • Native WAV playback In the demo, I’m playing the Italian version of “Think Different” as a real WAV file — powered by real audio drivers. No simulation. No shortcuts. Just the system working. For the first time, everything starts to feel connected. Filesystem, GUI, audio — one system, one experience. Building a different kind of operating system. From zero. With intention. #ZenOS #OSDev #ThinkDifferent #Innovation
