Data lineage brings clarity. It shows where your data comes from, how it changes, and why it matters. Because better decisions start with trusted data. A lot of businesses try to fix reporting by adding dashboards. But if source names are inconsistent, form tracking is incomplete, and call tracking is missing, the dashboard does not solve the problem. It just puts cleaner visuals on messy data. Good reporting starts with clean capture.

We noticed a discrepancy in our performance graph today 👀 The report showed 60.78%, while the expected value was closer to 86%. At first glance, it looked like a data issue 🤔 But after a quick check, there were no logic changes and no problems with the data itself. The real cause was the refresh timing ⏱️ The dataset had last refreshed at 00:14am, so the report was running on incomplete data for the day. Sometimes it’s not the data that’s wrong, it’s when you’re looking at it. This highlights something easy to overlook 💡 Data refresh schedules need to align with business expectations. When is the true cut-off for the day? When is the data actually complete and reliable? Does the dashboard reflect how the business defines “today”? A report can be technically correct and still be misleading if the timing is off ⚠️ Small detail, big impact on decisions 📊 #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #DataQuality #DataGovernance #AnalyticsTip
