A high school student that I tutor asked me a while ago if one can learn #physics by #programming in #Python. I answered: “Of course!” Since then, I’ve had all kinds of ideas about how to introduce computational physics and numerical methods to advanced high-school or early-level university students. This is the first post in a (long-term) series focusing on numerical methods and computational physics. https://lnkd.in/d5gDAieW

Visualizing Linear Operators and Matrix Algebra with Python & Manim 🌀 As a researcher specializing in Abstract Algebra, I am fascinated by how algebraic structures can be represented geometrically. While this visualization illustrates system behavior, my primary interest lies in the underlying Linear Algebra and the properties of Linear Operators. In this project, I used Python and the Manim library to visualize the action of matrix exponential maps and eigenvalue decompositions. It's a study of how the algebraic properties of a matrix—its spectrum and structure—dictate the geometry of its transformations. Focus Areas: Linear Algebra & Operator Theory. Matrix Exponentials and their algebraic properties. Computational Mathematics using Python. I am currently a Master's student at Yarmouk University with a deep interest in Abstract Algebra and Ring Theory. I look forward to connecting with fellow algebraists and researchers in the field! #AbstractAlgebra #RingTheory #LinearAlgebra #Mathematics #Python #Manim #YarmoukUniversity #IbrahimSyam #AlgebraicStructures

Bridging the gap between mathematics and programming is one of the most powerful things we can do for students today. usingMaths.com has published a fantastic free tutorial that teaches senior secondary students how to solve cubic polynomial equations in Python — and then animate an object moving along the curve using Turtle graphics. Here’s what students learn: • The mathematics of third-degree polynomial equations (y = ax³ + bx² + cx + d) • How to derive coefficients from maximum and minimum turning points using calculus • How to implement a Python polynomial solver from scratch • How to build a visual animation that brings the equation to life This is exactly the kind of applied, project-based learning that builds both mathematical rigour and computational thinking — skills that are increasingly critical across STEM fields, data science, machine learning, and software engineering. For educators designing cross-curricular programmes, or students looking to go beyond the textbook, this is a resource worth bookmarking. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eEvRJ9wk #MathsEducation #Python #STEM #ComputationalThinking #SeniorSecondary #EdTech #CodingEducation

When will I ever use this Math in real life?📐 As a CS and Math student, I used to hear this a lot. But as I dive deeper into Python, I’ve realized that Math isn’t just a subject—it’s the source code of the universe. Lately, I’ve been using Python to automate complex trigonometric and probability problems from my A-Level past papers. The realization? Programming is just Math that does something. Whether it’s game physics or AI algorithms, the logic I’m learning in 9709 Math is the same logic I’m using to build functional scripts. Never skip the fundamentals. The "boring" stuff is what builds the most exciting tech. 🚀 #PythonProgramming #Mathematics #ALevels #CodingFundamentals #StemEducation

Dear LinkedIn Research Community, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations for "video lectures, articles, or books" that explain how "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools" (such as Python, MATLAB, or other ML frameworks) can be integrated into "electrocatalyst development for HER, OER, and broader electrochemistry research". I am particularly interested in learning how AI can be applied to "design, screening, and performance prediction of electrocatalysts", as I believe these skills will significantly strengthen my future academic and research work in "electrocatalysis and energy conversion". Any guidance, learning resources, or personal experiences would be highly valuable. Thank you in advance for your support. #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #Electrocatalysis #Electrochemistry #HydrogenEvolutionReaction #OxygenEvolutionReaction #CleanEnergy #MaterialsScience #Python #MATLAB #ResearchCommunity #AcademicResearch
