Thanks to strong interest across the global developer community, we’re extending the registration deadline for the AI for Industry Challenge. New sign-ups will now remain open until Friday, May 8th! Teams around the world are already making inroads to create new solutions using AI to solve dexterous manipulation in electronics assembly. This open competition is brought to you by IntrinsicGoogle DeepMindNVIDIA Robotics, and Open Robotics with a $180K prize pool on the line. Your AI models will be reviewed by a panel of industry leaders, with finalists deploying theirs on a physical workcell. If you're already registered, best wishes with your continued progress! It has been inspiring to see the momentum and collaboration already underway, so if you’re looking to join a team or add a teammate, please visit the Discourse forum: https://lnkd.in/edg5V_vn And if you'd like to sign up to get started as well, register here: https://lnkd.in/eeyf7Df4

Neither EVs nor humanoids possess qualified LiDAR or camera systems; thus, true Physical AI remains absent from most products, with only a rare few achieving a full-stack implementation. . Given that LiDARs under 60W provide fewer than 150 physical points based on the metric of 1W TDP supporting 3 physical beams products capable of sustaining a 200W+ TDP LiDAR are exceedingly scarce. . Consequently, the logic of high-precision positioning and behavioral mapping has essentially gone bankrupt, as has the reliability of camera systems. . Physical AI, therefore, remains a distant mirage.
