#Day17 – Understanding Constructors in Java ⚙️ Today’s session helped me understand how constructors work in Java and how they are used while creating objects. Today I revised an important Java concept: String Comparison == vs .equals(). 🔹 == operator compares memory references (addresses). 🔹 .equals() method compares the actual content of the strings. Example: • When strings are created using literals, they refer to the same object in the String Constant Pool, so == may return true. • When strings are created using new String(), separate objects are created in heap memory, so == returns false even if the content is the same. Understanding this difference helps avoid common mistakes when comparing strings in Java. Day 14 – Exploring ArrayList in Java Today I learned about ArrayList, one of the most commonly used classes in the Java Collections Framework. Unlike arrays, ArrayList provides a dynamic way to store data, meaning its size can grow or shrink as needed. Things I explored today: 🔹 Creating an ArrayList 🔹 Adding elements using add() 🔹 Accessing elements using get() 🔹 Removing elements using remove() 🔹 Finding the size using size() Example concept: An ArrayList can store multiple values and allows us to easily manage data without worrying about fixed sizes like arrays. 💡 Key takeaway: ArrayList makes it easier to store, manage, and manipulate collections of data dynamically. Day 22-What I Learned In a Day(JAVA) Today I learned about method calling in Java. I practiced how a method can be called multiple times from the main() method. I also understood that when calling a method, we can pass arguments in two ways: 1️⃣ Directly passing values m1(10); 2️⃣ Passing values through a variable int a = 10; m1(a); Both approaches will pass the value to the method parameter and execute the method. Through this practice, I improved my understanding of method creation, parameter passing, and method execution flow in Java. 🚀 Java Revision Journey – Day 07 Continuing my Java revision journey, today I focused on the four pillars of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java. 🔖 Topics Covered 1️⃣ Inheritance Allows one class to acquire the properties and behaviors of another class using the extends keyword. It promotes code reusability and hierarchical relationships between classes. 2️⃣ Encapsulation Wrapping data (variables) and methods into a single unit (class) and restricting direct access using private variables with getters and setters. It ensures data security and controlled access. 3️⃣ Polymorphism Means “many forms”. The same method name can behave differently depending on the situation. Examples: Method Overloading (Compile-time polymorphism) Method Overriding (Runtime polymorphism) 4️⃣ Abstraction Hiding internal implementation details and showing only essential functionality using abstract classes and interfaces. 📌 These four concepts form the foundation of Object-Oriented Programming and scalable Java application design. 📚 Understanding Association in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) In Java, Association represents a relationship between two classes where objects interact with each other. It is mainly divided into two types: 🔹 Aggregation (Weak Relationship) The secondary object can exist independently of the primary object. Example: A mobile phone and a charger. Even if the phone is lost, the charger can still be used. 🔹 Composition (Strong Relationship) The secondary object is completely dependent on the primary object. Example: A mobile phone and its operating system. If the phone is destroyed, the OS cannot exist separately.
