Native features like the Popover API, CSS Nesting, and Container Queries are already here. They are faster, lighter, and require zero dependencies. I’m moving back to a "Vanilla-First" mindset. Real System Design Question Every React Developer Should Be Able to Answer During frontend or full-stack interviews, you may get a real scenario like this 👇 You are asked to build a large modern web application using React with the following pages: • Home page (marketing content that rarely changes) • Blog pages (articles that update occasionally) • Product pages (prices and stock change frequently) • User dashboard (personalized content for each user) • Interactive comment section on blog posts • Users are visiting the website from multiple countries worldwide How would you design the rendering architecture? Let’s break it down in a simple way. --- 🔹 Home Page → Static Site Generation (SSG) Marketing content rarely changes, so the page can be generated during build time. This makes the page extremely fast and SEO-friendly. --- 🔹 Blog Pages → SSG Blog articles don't change frequently. Generating static pages during build ensures fast loading and good SEO. --- 🔹 Product Pages → Server-Side Rendering (SSR) Product price and stock change often. So the server should render the page on every request to ensure users always see the latest data. --- 🔹 User Dashboard → Client-Side Rendering (CSR) Dashboard content is different for every user. Rendering in the browser works well for personalized data. --- 🔹 Comment Section → Islands Architecture Most of the blog page is static content. Only the comment section needs interaction, so we make just that part interactive. This reduces unnecessary JavaScript. --- 🔹 Hydration If using SSR or SSG, the page first arrives as HTML. Then React loads JavaScript and attaches event handlers so the page becomes interactive. HTML → JS loads → Hydration → Interactive UI --- 🔹 React Server Components Components that fetch data from databases or APIs can run on the server, reducing JavaScript sent to the browser and improving performance.
