Most organizations are using AI. But few are ready to scale it across the business. Frontier Transformation begins when AI becomes part of how work gets done and decisions are made. The AI Decision Brief outlines what separates early experimentation from true organizational readiness. #AIDecisionBrief #FrontierTransformation

  • A visual representation from I D C’s AI survey showing 68% AI adoption among respondents and 22% of organizations being Frontier-ready.

Interesting framing with the Frontier Firm concept. The IDC finding — 68% using GenAI, only 22% seeing transformative returns — raises the real question: what's the inflection point between 'experimenting at scale' and 'operating as a Frontier Firm'? In infrastructure and service delivery, I'd argue it's when AI starts influencing architectural decisions and SLA design, not just automating ticket queues. Curious how the brief addresses the governance-speed tradeoff — especially for regulated, multi-market enterprises where change cycles are longer.

Most organizations are past the “should we use AI?” stage. The real challenge now is readiness: do teams have the skills, structure and confidence to use AI safely and consistently across daily work? That is where training becomes critical. AI adoption does not scale through tools alone. It scales when people know how to apply them.
