EAR, WAR is almost deprecated, not widely used from years. The boss now is JAR still widely used on almost all deployments specially spring boot.

Nice explanation! In my experience, JAR deployments have simplified a lot of things, especially build and deployment pipelines. WAR/EAR setups usually come with more configuration overhead, but they’re still useful in certain enterprise systems.

Mostly jar and war. Never really had the chance to use EAR professionally
