Window functions, CTEs, and CASE-driven aggregations are what separate analyst-level SQL from interview-grade SQL — and they're where most self-taught learners stall. Our SQL Mastery course is built specifically for that gap. It's free, runs entirely in your browser, and walks through 4 modules in 5-6 hours: → Conditional Logic & NULL Handling — CASE WHEN, COALESCE, NULLIF, and the silent bugs NULLs cause in aggregations → Data Transformation Functions → Subqueries & CTEs → Window Functions Each module combines animated explanations with hands-on practice — no setup, no installs. The prerequisite is SQL Fundamentals, so it picks up exactly where most beginner courses leave off. If you can write a SELECT and a JOIN but freeze the moment an interviewer asks for a 7-day rolling average or "rank customers by revenue per region" — this is the course to fix that. Week 4 of my SQL learning journey focused on Subqueries, CTEs, and Window Functions—key tools for solving complex data problems. I learned how to break down queries into smaller steps, build reusable logic using CTEs, and apply window functions to analyze trends and rankings without losing detail. This week really showed me how SQL goes beyond basic queries into powerful, real-world data analysis. #SQL #DataAnalytics #LearningJourney #TDI TheData Immersed(TDI) Jude Raji Anne Nnamani

🔥 Post 1 (Day 2 – SELECT Statement Basics) 💡 Day 2 of My SQL Learning Journey Today I learned the most important part of SQL — SELECT statement 🚀 👉 SELECT statement is used to fetch data from a database. 📌 Basic syntax: SELECT column1, column2 FROM table_name; 📊 Example: SELECT name, age FROM students; ✨ This simply means: “students table se name aur age data lao” 💬 SQL ka real power yahi se start hota hai! 👉 Question: Have you tried writing your first SQL query yet? #SQL #DataAnalytics #LearningJourney #Day2 #BeginnerSQL

Window Functions in SQL always felt confusing to me — especially OVER(), PARTITION BY and ORDER BY. So I tried breaking it down in the simplest way possible. A detailed explanation on all window functions will be in the next post. Till then, happy learning 🚀 #SQL #DataEngineering #WindowFunctions #openfornewopportunity #datalearning

Second step in my transition — building a strong foundation in SQL. Over the past few days, I focused on learning and practicing core SQL concepts, moving beyond basics. Covered: · Subqueries · Joins · Aggregations · Stored Procedures · User-Defined Functions Instead of just learning syntax, I worked on understanding how these concepts are used to handle structured data and solve real problems. Currently applying these concepts in small practice datasets and preparing for more project-based work next. Step by step — focusing on building practical skills. #SQL #DataAnalytics

One of the best decisions I made last year was investing in Silvia W. 's masterclass to learn SQL properly. Not just the syntax but how SQL works in real business world. Before then, I thought SQL was just about writing queries... SELECT this JOIN that GROUP BY something But I was wrong! SQL is not just about writing queries. It's about understanding the business problem before even touching the keyboard. I stopped memorizing queries and started understanding logic. And that shift changed everything for me! #DataAnalytics #SQL #LearningJourney
