Big things are happening at the BASE Foundation. We’re excited to officially launching the R.I.S.E. Financial Empowerment Program through The B.A.S.E. Foundation. This program was created with one goal in mind: helping individuals build financial confidence in a way that actually leads to change. Too often, financial education stops at information. People learn what they “should” do, but don’t leave with the structure or confidence to follow through. That gap is where most programs fall short. RISE is designed to close that gap. Over the course of 5 weeks, participants will engage in interactive, practical sessions focused on: • building a realistic financial plan • strengthening money habits • making more confident financial decisions This is a structured, supportive environment designed to help participants take action. The first cohort will launch this summer, and applications will open soon. If you’re a community partner, organization, or leader working with individuals who could benefit from this type of program, I’d love to connect. More details will be shared soon.

Financial education isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we see that every day. We’ve learned that traditional approaches don’t always reach the people who need them most. That’s why we created Take Charge Lab: a more accessible, skills-based learning experience designed specifically for underserved communities. Because financial confidence shouldn’t depend on where you start, it should be within everyone’s reach. We’re excited to continue expanding access and rethinking what financial education can look like. 👉 Learn more about what we’re building and where we’re headed: https://cutt.ly/DtA4tdQP

I recently recorded a short podcast discussing financial literacy across generations — from adults navigating real-life financial decisions to children forming their earliest money habits. One insight stood out clearly: Financial literacy is not a one-time lesson — it is a lifelong skill built early and reinforced consistently. Many adults today are playing “catch-up” with money management, investing, and financial planning — not due to lack of ability, but lack of early exposure. This creates a critical opportunity: If we can equip the next generation with the right financial mindset early, we fundamentally change their life trajectory. Key principles discussed: • Start financial education early (habits compound) • Focus on behaviour, not just knowledge • Keep it simple, practical, and consistent And ultimately: 👉 The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is now. Whether you are an individual looking to improve your financial position, or a parent/educator shaping the next generation, taking the first step matters more than waiting for the perfect moment. If you’re exploring ways to build stronger financial foundations — for yourself or others — I’d be glad to connect and share how we approach this at FinAIMS #finaims #financial #financialliteracy #startnow

Financial literacy shouldn’t just be taught. It should be experienced. NerdWallet recently visited Junior Achievement’s Finance Park, where students step into real-life financial scenarios and learn how to budget, save, and make smart financial decisions. Through this hands-on simulation, students manage income, evaluate expenses, and experience the real tradeoffs adults make every day. That’s the power of experiential learning. We’re turning financial concepts into real-world confidence. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/dBucDWcK #FinancialLiteracy #EducationForWhatsNext #FinancePark
