I started learning Python… And it completely changed how I think. At first, I treated it like any other programming language. Learn syntax. Write code. Move on. But Python doesn’t work like that. Somewhere between writing your first print("Hello World") and building small logic-based programs… Something shifts. You realize: It’s not about code anymore. It’s about thinking. Python forces you to slow down and think clearly. Not “What should I write?” But “How should I solve this?” And that changes everything. I started learning Python. Here's everything I've built into my brain so far day by day, concept by concept. → if / else statements Teaching the computer to make decisions. The moment this clicked, I felt like I was actually writing logic not just typing commands. → for loops & while loops Automation starts here. Instead of repeating myself, I let the code do the work. → logical operators Combining conditions with and, or, not. Simple but incredibly powerful once you see it in action. → arithmetic & comparison operators The foundation of every calculation and every decision in code. → operator precedence Python follows rules just like math. Understanding this saved me from confusing bugs. → formatted strings (f-strings) My favourite discovery so far. Clean, readable, dynamic text output in one line. → string methods .upper() .strip() .replace() .split() tools that make working with text feel effortless. → math functions Built-in tools like round(), abs(), pow() — Python does the heavy lifting. The biggest lesson so far? Confusion is not a sign you're failing. It's a sign you're learning. Every single concept above confused me at first. I stayed with it. I kept going. 🚀 I learned Functional Programming in Python — As an M.Sc. Computer Science student, I’ve been exploring new concepts daily, and today I dived into Functional Programming. 💡 What is Functional Programming? It’s a programming style where we write code using functions, avoid changing data, and focus on “what to do” rather than “how to do it.” 🔹 Key Concepts: ✔️ Pure Functions – Same input → Same output ✔️ Immutability – Data is not modified ✔️ Higher-Order Functions – Functions that take other functions as input 🧠 Simple Python Example: Using built-in functions like map(), filter(), and reduce() 👉 Example: map() → applies a function to all elements filter() → selects elements based on condition 🎯 Why it matters? Cleaner and more readable code Easier debugging Widely used in modern technologies (Data Science, AI/ML) 📌 Learning this helped me understand how to write more efficient and structured code.
