🔥 Built a Real-Time Weather Application Using HTML, CSS & JavaScript! I recently completed a small web application project to strengthen my JavaScript fundamentals and get hands-on experience with working APIs. This application fetches live weather data using the OpenWeatherMap Current Weather API, and displays real-time details such as: 🌡️ Temperature (with Kelvin ➝ Celsius conversion) 💧 Humidity ☁️ Weather description 🌦️ Dynamic weather emoji (based on weather condition IDs) Through this project, I learned: ✔ How to work with the Fetch API ✔ Using async/await for asynchronous operations ✔ Handling JSON data ✔ Error handling with try–catch ✔ DOM manipulation (creating & updating UI elements dynamically) ✔ Clean UI updates and conditional rendering This was a great exercise to become more comfortable with JavaScript and API integration. 💡 Added a Smart Search Feature using Fuse.js to NoteFlow! Link : https://lnkd.in/gc2ijDtM Today I implemented a real-time search feature in my NoteFlow app using Fuse.js, a lightweight fuzzy-search library that helps you find notes even with partial matches or typos 🔍 At first, it wasn’t straightforward — since my search bar lived inside the Navbar as a component, and the notes were rendered on the HomePage, passing data between these nested components was a little tricky. After a few iterations (and some console.logs 😅), I finally structured it correctly using props and state lifting, allowing the search input to dynamically filter notes as I type. Fuse.js handled the search logic beautifully — searching across both title and content fields with amazing accuracy. ✨ Tech Used: React ⚛️ | Fuse.js | Tailwind CSS | State Lifting | Memoization (useMemo) Here’s what I learned today: Understanding data flow between nested components is essential in React. Small tools like Fuse.js can make your project feel smarter without adding heavy complexity. Key Insights: 1.Writing less code can teach you more when you focus on logic, not length. 2.DOM manipulation feels simpler when broken into small, clear steps. 3.Repetition builds muscle memory — not boredom.
