"Buzzing with ideas and optimism." That is how Annalee Armstrong of BioSpace described what is happening inside Altitude Lab right now. We think she nailed it. This year's Demo Day brought the work into the open, with BioSpace highlighting four of the companies building inside Altitude right now. Carmen Kivisild, PhD moved from Estonia to Salt Lake City sight unseen to build Elnora, an AI agent that learns from successful and failed studies to build better biomedical lab protocols. Evita Weagel, Ph.D. is building Eris Biotech (YC W24) because oral cancer treatment should be accessible to patients everywhere, including her home country of Peru. Donna J. Cross, PhD spent years publishing Alzheimer's research at the University of Utah before deciding the work was too important to wait for someone else to act on it. She founded Caelium. Kapil K. Sharma, MS, MBA, MSF received a Department of Defense grant for an idea he had submitted over a year earlier, and with the support of the Altitude team, launched Vira Regen Inc. while still in the building. Altitude Lab is the community that gets built when scientists decide to go for it. Read the full story here -> https://lnkd.in/gYC_m9nu

Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed this tour and getting to meet these scientists so much. Hopefully we'll be reporting on their companies and accomplishments for years to come at BioSpace!
