Glad to share a project I recently worked on using ROS2 and TurtleBot3 in simulation. I designed a warehouse environment in Gazebo and implemented a full pipeline including SLAM mapping, autonomous navigation, and multi-point waypoint navigation. The robot was able to localize itself, move to selected goals, and even handle unexpected obstacles in real time. It was a great hands on experience connecting everything together and seeing how these systems actually work in practice. Really glad to be learning this under the supervision of Ts. Suresh Gobee Looking forward to taking this further 🤖 #ROS2 #Robotics #TurtleBot3 #Gazebo #AutonomousSystems

AGIBOT has introduced Expedition A3, a new full sized humanoid robot designed for entertainment and live performance applications. What stands out is not just the robot’s appearance, but its movement capabilities. Expedition A3 can perform flying kicks, spinning motions, aerial steps, and other complex actions that require advanced balance, coordination, and motion control. This is another sign of how quickly humanoid robotics is progressing beyond basic walking and manipulation. Follow MR. ROBOT to see more humanoids and service robots in action. #TheBotFeed #AgiBot #ExpeditionA3 #HumanoidRobots #Robotics #Innovation

Autonomous robotic ground platform in action. This video shows a mobile robotic platform following a predefined route and returning autonomously, while also integrating a robotic arm into the same system architecture. The platform is built on ROS 2 Jazzy and uses Nav2 for autonomous navigation, Visual SLAM for localization and mapping, and a combined mobility + manipulation setup for coordinated operation of the base and robotic arm. This is part of ongoing work on a practical autonomous robotics platform that combines navigation, perception, and manipulation in a single system. #Robotics #AutonomousRobots #ROS2 #ROS2Jazzy #Nav2 #VisualSLAM #MobileRobot #RoboticArm #Automation #Engineering

🤖 Boots on. Clipboard optional. Tilbury Douglas says it has become the first tier one contractor to deploy a humanoid robot on a live construction site. The robot, named Douglas, is being used for admin and data-collection tasks, including autonomous site navigation, 360° imagery capture, and progress reporting to support health and safety monitoring. Construction’s digital shift just got a very literal pair of legs. https://bit.ly/4cznh7H #Construction #ConTech #Innovation #Robotics #HealthAndSafety #DigitalConstruction

A full-scale test run for the world’s first humanoid robot half-marathon was held overnight in Beijing ahead of the April 19 race. The rehearsal in Beijing’s E-Town simulated the full 21.1km course with real race conditions. Over 70 teams, including international ones, took part with autonomous and remote-controlled robots. The official race will feature 100+ teams—five times more than last year—with Unitree Robotics and UBTECH Robotics among the key players. This year’s focus: autonomous navigation, battery life, and balance. Stricter rules and safety protocols are now in place. #marathon #robots #humanoids #chinatechnology #robotmarathon #Future

In trajectory tracking control, we typically assume the desired trajectory is twice differentiable, since the controller directly uses the second derivative. But is this really necessary? A recent article shows that controllers can be designed to track non‑differentiable trajectories (with kinks or corners) - something not possible with standard approaches. This could significantly broaden what we can do in robotics and autonomous systems. Curious to hear your thoughts: 👉 Where do you see the biggest opportunities for controllers that can handle non-smooth trajectories? #ControlSystems #Robotics #NonlinearControl #Research #TrajectoryTracking #Autonomy https://lnkd.in/gSZyhMXh

Formation control is easy to describe and hard to implement when vehicles were never designed for it. Humans learn wedge, file, and staggered column through repetition, spacing, and shared context. Most autonomous platforms do not have that behavior natively. So the problem becomes how to create formation behavior indirectly through synchronized movement, local sensing, and shared world understanding. One path is sensor-driven. Each vehicle uses local perception, proximity sensing, and scene awareness to continuously predict where it should move relative to the others. Another path is distributed. Each platform shares part of its local world model with teammates, allowing the group to maintain formation based on both self-observation and team state. That second path is especially important. Formation control is not just geometry. It is communication, orientation, and common reference frames. For defense autonomy, that means the future is not only better path planning. It is shared latent representations that let teams coordinate movement the way humans do, but at machine speed. #DefenseAI #MultiAgentSystems #GroundAutonomy #Robotics
