Adam Ely’s Post

It's started to get out so here's my official "I'm changing jobs with more to come in a week" post. The CISO is no longer the walled-off security expert focused only on stopping attacks. We're shaping product direction, influencing AI strategy, and sitting at the table where real decisions get made as CISOs or in new roles. Rohan Amin's move from CISO to CIO to CPO of Chase is one of the clearest examples. My own path traveled a similar arc, and whatever the title, I kept coming back to the same question: what do my co-workers and people using our products actually need? That question is what led to my upcoming role leading a cybersecurity business unit. I spent the last few months chatting with 50+ cybersecurity practitioners before deciding and what I heard reinforced we're in a genuinely exciting moment with cybersecurity, AI, and companies wanting to do more, faster. The challenges are real, but the opportunity to build something that matters is unlike anything I've seen in years. I'm excited again. Thank you to everyone who brainstormed with me. #CyberSecurity #CISO #AI

We hope it involves a move to Atlanta!
