Come work with me! Late last year, a new organization, Aviation Intelligence, was created to combine broad data disciplines (#analytics, #dataengineering, #datascience, #machinelearning) across Collins Aerospace's FlightAware and Ascentia programs, led by Matthew Lorch (my new boss!). As part of this, he has a critical role for a Technical Project Manager, that will work across both programs, on projects that require the expertise to manage complex projects that incorporate advanced analytics and ML. https://lnkd.in/eWk7MkyZ

In aviation, "human error" is often just a symptom of a deeper, invisible problem: cognitive misalignment. The aviation industry can transform razor-thin margins into significant savings by using Morphic Fit to align crew assignments with cognitive compatibility, as demonstrated by an aviation firm that saved $1.8M in preventable losses through improved team resonance. When a mid-market firm realized their ground crews had low "R_lock" (cognitive resonance) scores, they stopped guessing and started mapping. By placing "The Sentinel" archetypes in Quality Assurance and ensuring high Adaptive Reasoning in high-pressure roles, they saw immediate results. 3 Key Takeaways: • Reduced Safety Risk: A 42% reduction in near-miss incidents by ensuring teams "think" well together. • Accelerated Productivity: 34% less onboarding friction when roles align with inherent cognitive dimensions. • Predictive Performance: Understanding CLT (Cognitive Load Tolerance) prevents burnout and critical errors in complex repairs. See how your people move. Optimize the assembly. Predict the performance. If visibility is the problem, integration is the solution. Aviation leaders must move toward a unified operational architecture where: • Flight operations • Maintenance • Finance • Customer systems Feed into one centralized intelligence layer. Real-time dashboards are not just visuals, they are decision accelerators. When leadership sees: – Live turnaround times – Aircraft availability – Route profitability – Operational bottlenecks Decisions shift from reactive to preventive. The competitive advantage is no longer aircraft size. It is information speed. The aviation companies that win will be those who reduce the time between event and response. #OperationalVisibility #AviationInnovation #DigitalTransformation #AviationLeadership #DataDrivenAviation #ExecutiveStrategy #AviationSystems #FutureOfAviation

Speed is a tool. But trust is the advantage. Trust is hard to earn, easy to lose, and worth protecting. When you get a chance to earn more of it, take it. Because people don’t forget who delivered when it mattered. In the latest episode of Nose to Tail, host Patrick Kraus (COO & Managing Director) sits down with Delphine Kennedy, Founder of DBK AERO LTD, to discuss her path from the AOG desk to launching her own aviation brokerage. Delphine shares lessons from mentors across the industry, the thinking behind her Smart Revenue Partner program, and how AI tools can support a small team while relationships continue to power the aviation aftermarket. VERTICON (formerly HAI HELI-EXPO) gave us the opportunity to zoom out and look at where vertical aviation is headed, and then zoom right back in to the operational realities of getting there. I had the honor of organizing and moderating panels with leaders who are quite literally building the future of this industry. On day 2, I hosted David Smith, Gur K., and Johann C. Bordais for a thoughtful, refreshingly candid perspective on how legacy and next-generation manufacturers are shaping the future of vertical flight. It was a great reminder that the future of vertical flight isn't about replacing one ecosystem with another, but rather about integrating capabilities (both existing and technologies our brains can hardly comprehend) in ways that make the entire system stronger. Next up was an eVTOL-focused discussion moderated by Jessica Jones, with insights from Megha B., Ryan Naru, Michael Cervenka, and David Oord. This conversation focused on how we move from visionary concepts to real operations. Pragmatic, grounded, and timely. On day 3, we convened a round table session with Powered Lift OEMs and FAA leadership, Jessica Jones, Jim Rose, Christina Grabill, Brandon Roberts, and Nolan Crawford to discuss the Powered Lift SFAR - what's working, what's not, and what questions need answering to inform rulemaking and to operationalize. These are the kinds of conversations that rarely make headlines but are essential to getting the regulatory framework right as this new category of aircraft enters into service. One of the things I love most about working in this industry is the range of conversations we get to have - from big-picture strategy with industry-leading CEOs to detailed regulatory discussions with operators, manufacturers, and regulators. These are the discussions that are moving vertical aviation forward. A HUGE thanks to all of the panelists and participants who brought deep knowledge, candor, and a healthy dose of realism to the conversation!

Aircraft were once the biggest asset. Today, information is equally powerful. The aviation leaders gaining advantage are those who: • Use predictive insights • Track live performance • Model scenarios before acting Data maturity is becoming a competitive differentiator. In the next decade, data-driven aviation will outperform asset-heavy aviation. #DataDrivenLeadership #AviationAnalytics #IndustryInnovation #FutureStrategy #AviationExecutives #OperationalIntelligence #CEOInsights #DigitalAviation
