The part about spatial reasoning in spreadsheets is what stands out here. Most AI tools treat data as flat text, but the real power of Excel is in those relationships - what sits next to what, what feeds what. That's the nuance most automation misses. Curious how this handles edge cases where the model's assumptions about those relationships are wrong. A single bad assumption can cascade through an entire spreadsheet.
Understand you need to push your new AI product but please remember the user experience. In outlook mobile, for example, you shifted the send button to the address bar and placed the co-pilot button in its place. The first time I noticed this, I was really annoyed because I just wanted to send an email but I had to look for the send button, I was even more annoyed that the co-pilot button was in its place. People have been sending emails for decades without needing AI. We don’t need AI in everything and it should be totally optional and out of the way.
This is certainly a thoughtful step forward by turning #Copilot into an agent that can reason directly within the canvas. Hence, this is not just enhancing ones productivity but obviously redefining how ideas take shape, and honestly, if spreadsheets start telling better stories than we do, we’ll know the future has officially arrived.
