This is one of the most common (and frustrating) gaps teams deal with. The confusion between Google Analytics and Google Ads usually isn’t a bug — it’s a difference in logic: → Different attribution models (last click vs data-driven) → Different conversion windows → Different reporting timelines So even when everything is “set up correctly,” numbers won’t match 1:1 — and that’s where most teams get stuck. What’s valuable here is shifting from “why don’t they match?” to: → Are they directionally consistent? → Are we optimizing based on the right source of truth? Because chasing perfect alignment often wastes more time than it saves.
