GivingTree Alumni Engagement Metrics

Using social media data to learn about our alumni is interesting. Using the same data to drive our event planning, solicitations, and engagement initiatives--that's innovative.
What we can do/are doing with GivingTree:
--Alumni Records Support - Supplementing employment changes through the automatic notifications when prospects change LinkedIn profiles.
--Prospect Management - Pending social media details (organized by fiscal year) imported into Banner, account…Using social media data to learn about our alumni is interesting. Using the same data to drive our event planning, solicitations, and engagement initiatives--that's innovative.
What we can do/are doing with GivingTree:
--Alumni Records Support - Supplementing employment changes through the automatic notifications when prospects change LinkedIn profiles.
--Prospect Management - Pending social media details (organized by fiscal year) imported into Banner, account executives could review FY15 total FB likes, shares, or comments. High activity would prompt communication with one of the license holders to do deep prospect research.
--Prospect Deep Research - Pending manual Facebook matching, license holders could identify what is being liked/commented on FB by individual prospects. This is particularly helpful in designing a visit with a difficult prospect or becoming acquainted with a newly assigned prospect.
--Annual Fund Lead Campaign - Pending manual Facebook matching, communications could post a series over the course of a week. Non-Donor constituents who interact with the posts could then be solicited. This project would test the strength of social media interactions in predicting giving.
--Annual Fund React Campaign - High traffic posts can be tracked on GivingTree and specific solicitations could be created to respond to the high interest.
--Solicitation Population Creation - Knowing who is most engaged with Colgate on social media indicates who is more likely to respond to solicitations for events, surveys, gifts, etc.
--Communication/Giving Success Metrics - Since we now have dates associated with social media interactions, communications will be able to create a timeline narrative of donor actions on social media throughout the year. This is an aggregate narrative.Other creatorsSee project -
Colgate Alumni Mobile Directory Commercial
This Colgate Alumni Mobile Directory, powered by EverTrue, is a useful networking tool for our constituents. It combines geographical data with biographical and contact information of our alumni. We wanted to market this product to the greater Colgate community so we published this commercial to YouTube and watched interest and downloads of the app climb steadily.
