At #OracleAIWorld, I had the privilege of joining leaders from NetApp, Acuity, and Emerson to delve into what it truly takes to scale 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗜 and achieve real business value. Our discussion underscored that success isn't just about adopting new tools; it's about a holistic transformation of the operating model. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲: • 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁: The "people agenda" is critical to AI success. Leaders must articulate a clear vision, fostering an 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 where employees understand their value proposition in an AI-powered future. AI agents are seen as collaborators, potentially doubling workforce capacity, freeing humans for more strategic, creative, and value-generating work. • 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: Beyond fragmented data environments, organizations must prioritize 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 to enable agentic AI to work effectively. A "less-is-more" approach, focusing on harvesting value from strategic data segments, is crucial. • 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 & 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀: Traditional vertical systems often create silos. Agentic AI, however, excels at working horizontally across workflows and solutions, enabling 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 by absorbing operational and technical complexity. This redesign allows for substantial productivity gains and cost savings, with 66% of executives reporting increased productivity and 57% reporting cost savings from AI agents. • 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Establishing 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 from the outset is not a hurdle but a growth lever.
