Ask for an introduction with Sales Assistant

Last updated: 2 months ago

Sales Navigator's AI-powered Sales Assistant helps you streamline your prospecting process by delivering leads, identifying the best paths in, and drafting personalized outreach. If it's likely that someone in your network or a TeamLink connection knows the lead, Sales Assistant will recommend that you ask for an introduction instead of messaging the lead directly. Sales Assistant uses Message Assist to generate a personalized message draft of the introduction request.

Who can use this feature?

  3. To request a warm intro to a lead you’ve already marked as a good fit, click the Good fits with warm intros tab at the top. To request a warm intro to a new lead:

    1. Select a lead from the left pane and click the Good fit button.
    2. If Sales Assistant recommends asking for an introduction as your best path in for that lead, you’ll see a Request a warm intro button or The best way to reach [Name] is by asking a connection to introduce you. If Sales Assistant recommends direct outreach but has identified warm intro connections as well, you’ll also see a Request a warm intro button.
  4. Click the Request intro button next to a connection you’d like to ask for an introduction. Sales Assistant will display why it recommends each connection.

  5. An automatically generated message draft will appear in the right pane, powered by Message Assist. Click the Edit button to make changes to the draft.

  6. Optional: Click the Like or Dislike icons to give feedback on the message draft.

  7. Click Send.

Your connection will receive a LinkedIn message with your request for introduction, and they can send a message to introduce you to your lead.
