Turn on messaging preferences for Sales Assistant

Who can use this feature?

If your admin has turned off Sales Assistant for your account, messaging preferences can’t be turned on. We’re gradually making Sales Assistant available and you might not currently have access to it. This feature is being tested and access may be removed at any time. Sales Assistant is currently only available in English.

Sales Navigator's AI-powered Sales Assistant helps you streamline your prospecting process by delivering leads, identifying the best paths in, and drafting personalized outreach. Sales Assistant uses Message Assist to help you draft first-touch messages, and it can use your messaging preferences to capture your personal style when it generates future message drafts.

Messaging preferences can be enabled as you set up Sales Assistant. If you previously turned messaging preferences off, you can turn this feature back on at any time.

To turn on messaging preferences:

  1. Sign in to Sales Navigator.

  2. Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click Privacy and data on the left pane.

  4. Turn on the Learn from message edits toggle. Keep in mind that if your admin has turned off Sales Assistant for your account, messaging preferences can’t be turned on.

After you turn on messaging preferences, Sales Assistant can adapt to your preferences when it generates new message drafts.
