Review candidates sourced by Hiring Assistant

Who can use this feature?

Hiring Assistant is available as an add-on for LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers. To use Hiring Assistant, you must be assigned the Hiring Assistant Permission and set your language preference to English. We’re gradually making this experience available, and you might not have access to it at this time. Learn more about Hiring Assistant here.

Hiring Assistant in LinkedIn Recruiter helps you streamline your hiring process by sourcing and evaluating the most relevant candidates.

Once candidates are ready for review, Hiring Assistant will display a notification in the upper-right corner of your homepage. You can access candidate profiles, assess their qualifications, and take actions like messaging, archiving, or providing feedback to improve future recommendations. Hiring Assistant won’t evaluate candidates you add manually to a project. It will evaluate them if they apply to your job.

To review candidates sourced by Hiring Assistant:

  1. Click the Sparkle icon at the top of your Recruiter homepage, next to your profile picture, to open the Hiring Assistant dashboard.

  2. Click the Review candidates button. Hiring Assistant will take you to your project’s Pipeline page.

  3. Review the candidates on your Pipeline page. Each candidate profile card shows a brief summary of the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to your project and hiring needs.

  4. Click the  Arrow icon on the Hiring Assistant summary to view their full LinkedIn profile and an evaluation against your project’s qualifications. You can also see whether the information was sourced from their LinkedIn profile or resume.

  5. Click the Archive button to archive candidates who don’t meet your needs.

    Here's a tip

    When you archive a candidate or highlight specific text on their profile, you can add written feedback to guide Hiring Assistant. This feedback helps Hiring Assistant refine its recommendations and source candidates more aligned with your hiring needs.

  6. Click the  Compose message icon to draft an AI-generated message and enable prescreening.

  7. Optional: Click the Sparkle icon on the left to open the Activity log and chat with Hiring Assistant to:

    • Update project qualifications
    • Request additional candidate sourcing
    • Initiate candidate reevaluations to refine your list

When Hiring Assistant evaluates or reevaluates candidates in your pipeline, it provides a summary in your project's Activity log. Click the summary in the Activity log to review the candidates.
