Rachel is a hacker and the CEO of SocialProof Security, where she helps people and companies protect their data by training and pentesting them on social engineering threats. She got her start winning second place in DEF CON’s thrilling spectator sport, the Social Engineering Competition, three years in a row.
Rachel served on the CISA Technical Advisory Council under Director Jen Easterly, contributing her expertise to national cybersecurity initiatives. Her captivating real-world hacking stories have been featured on The New York Times, 60 Minutes, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, NPR, CNN, NBC’s Nightly News with Lester Holt, and more.
In her remaining spare time, Rachel served as Chair of the Board for Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) for 8 years, where she worked to advance women to lead in the fields.
