AI didn’t drive U.S. economic growth in 2025 people did. Despite all the headlines, the biggest contributor to U.S. GDP growth in 2025 wasn’t artificial intelligence alone. It was traditional consumer spending and broad domestic demand. Households remain the engine of the economy. That insight matters for companies. AI is a powerful enabler, but it’s not the strategy. Growth still comes from how well organizations serve customers, earn trust, and deliver value people are willing to pay for. So what should companies do? - Invest in customer experience, not just technology AI should remove friction, improve responsiveness, and personalize experiences but only where it meaningfully improves outcomes for customers. - Focus on adoption, not deployment Technology creates value only when employees and customers actually use it. Training, change management, and simplicity matter more than cutting-edge features. - Tie AI investments to revenue and productivity, not experimentation The winners will be companies that connect AI to measurable business outcomes: faster cycles, better decisions, lower costs, and stronger demand signals. - Strengthen core operations Stable processes, clean data, and disciplined execution still underpin growth.
