Pryor Cashman Partners Wendy LaManque and Joshua Zuckerberg, along with Counsel Vanessa Avello and Associate Elizabeth Rivera, have published a client alert titled, “Changes to NYC Employee Leave and Scheduling Laws Now in Effect.” The alert reviews amendments to the Earned Safe and Sick Time Act (ESSTA) and the Temporary Schedule Change Law (TSCL), including an additional 32 hours of unpaid leave, expanded permissible uses of leave, and the rollback of mandatory schedule change approvals. The alert highlights the importance for NYC employers to update policies, train HR personnel and managers, and ensure payroll and tracking systems are compliant with the expanded laws.
