The most powerful technology in any museum isn’t digital. It’s human. More powerful than a touchscreen. More powerful than an audio guide. Even more powerful than VR, XR, or AI. At Bluecadet, we talk a lot about affordances — what a technology can do. A screen can inform. AI can personalize. But a human can do something different. They can read emotion. Sense confusion. Adapt to micro-expressions. Change course in real time. A great docent doesn’t just present information — they shape experiences. They can even orchestrate when and how technology enters the moment. Like any tool, poor training can create friction. But when well trained, a human is the most adaptive, intuitive, and inspiring interface a museum can have. Museums should invest as much in people as they do in pixels.

When we created the strategy for my product design startup Toneoptic for the launch of an innovative high-end vinyl record storage system, I knew we needed a name that sounded established and trustworthy but wouldn't put us in a corner. A name that says we play in the space of sound + vision (thanks for the inspiration, David Bowie!) - a space we will always call home; yet it needed to allow us the flexibility to twist and turn, to zag and pivot as any startup does. The “Savage Garden” Comes to Life Escape From Planet Omega-12 is a journey into a beautiful but lethal alien landscape. The story follows Tara, an “escape-pod chic” survivor, stripped down to the bare essentials of survival, marooned on a hostile world. She is accompanied by her loyal robot BLIP and the haunting, gelatinous essence of her husband, “Blob” (voiced by horror legend Bill Oberst, Jr.). While the 7-minute release features rough “scaffolded” animation, Moonlight emphasizes that this is merely the blueprint for a much more visceral experience. “We are showing our progress to prove that the ‘soul’ of the story is there,” says Moonlight. “The finished film will be like nothing you’ve ever seen, with a powerful story of love and transformation. We aren’t just generating content; we are layering high-intensity performance capture, hand-crafted practical effects miniatures and puppets, as well as the voices of legends to create a style that feels both nostalgic and dangerously futuristic.” Human Talent at the Core Despite the use of cutting-edge tools, the film is driven by high-caliber human performance: Bill Oberst, Jr. (3 From Hell, Criminal Minds): The Emmy-winning horror icon lends his unmistakable, gravelly gravity to the voice of Brio. Val Mayerik (Marvel’s Howard the Duck co-creator): A legendary artist and actor who brings his seasoned theater chops to the role of BLIP. Isla Cervelli (Venom, Queen of the South): The multifaceted actress provides the emotional and physical foundation for Tara through extensive full-body performance capture, bringing a raw, grounded reality to the alien world. A Defiant Return to “Sexy” Storytelling The film serves as a creative manifesto in response to Moonlight’s viral Film Threat article, “Why Can’t 2025 Comprehend Sexy Stories?” Moonlight argues that modern cinema has lost its ability to depict nuance and sensuality without sanitizing it. The Citroën Traction Avant was André Citroën’s most daring gamble and one of the most important cars ever built. Introduced in 1934, it didn’t just improve the automobile. It redefined its entire architecture. While most cars of the era still used body-on-frame construction and rear-wheel drive, the Traction Avant arrived with technology decades ahead of its time: Revolutionary Engineering * Front-wheel drive (hence the name Traction Avant) * Monocoque unibody construction — lighter, stronger, safer * Low center of gravity for superior handling * Independent front suspension * Hydraulic brakes * Inline-4 and inline-6 engines ranging from 1.3L to 2.9L This combination delivered stability, grip, and road manners no competitor could match in the 1930s. Performance Meets Control The Traction Avant wasn’t just advanced it was fast and confident. Its low stance and FWD traction allowed it to corner harder and brake better than traditional rear-drive sedans. Police forces, resistance fighters, and long-distance drivers all trusted it for one reason: it worked when others didn’t. A Car That Changed Industry Thinking The Traction Avant proved that:
✔ Front-wheel drive was the future
✔ Unibody construction was superior
✔ Handling mattered as much as power Nearly every modern passenger car follows the blueprint André Citroën introduced with this single model. The Cost of Genius Ironically, the Traction Avant’s advanced development nearly bankrupted Citroën. André Citroën lost control of his company shortly before his death in 1935 — but his creation went on to become a legend. Over 760,000 units were produced between 1934 and 1957. André Citroën didn’t just build a successful car.
He built the foundation of the modern automobile. The Traction Avant isn’t vintage nostalgia.

I am thrilled to share that OurWorlds, Inc. has been awarded U.S. Patent No. 12,394,161: XR360º Extended Reality System and Tool Suite. This describes our method of compositing elements in a 360º environment on mobile and desktop devices. This technology makes it possible to create immersive 360º environments with holograms and AR overlays—directly from your smartphone or in a desktop webapp. These experiences can be anchored by geolocation or unlocked at specific times, making it possible to connect place, time, and story in powerful new ways. We will be releasing it publicly this fall. Congratulations to my co-founders, Kilma S. Lattin and Maximilian Mackh. What started as a conversation over a campfire at Santa Ysabel Reservation in 2017 became the spark for reimagining what the education of the future could be like. How do we preserve the experience of being in community with our elders? How does charisma, and the timbre of a voice affect how we parse knowledge? We are hardwired over millions of years of evolution to read nuance—the expressions, gestures, and cadence matter. In an age when we question the authenticity of every image and video, how can XR and AI together create worlds that are not only transformative, but authentic and profoundly human? Making immersive reality workflows accessible is the key. Our goal has never been to gatekeep. We sought this patent to ensure these technologies remain accessible, stay in the right hands and are used mindfully—to revitalize language, to deepen understanding of our environments, and to support communities who want to share knowledge on their own terms.
