If you’ve chosen to work with an Applicant Tracking System, LinkedIn will redirect anyone who clicks Apply on your job post to your ATS to finish the application. If you post a job manually or if LinkedIn automatically generates a job post for you, your listing will need to include a tracking pixel or source tracking code to inform your ATS that the applicant came from LinkedIn.
- Source tracking code: Source tracking codes are added onto the ApplyURL when posting a job. You can configure your applicant source tracking code on your own, or it can be created in partnership with your ATS. To have a source tracking code applied to automated job posts, you’ll need to provide one to the LinkedIn customer service team.
- Tracking pixel: You'll also have to provide a tracking pixel for automated job posts if you choose to use one. These are typically created with your ATS or a Recruitment Ad Agency. When posting jobs manually, they must be embedded in the job description.
Here's a tip
We recommend using source codes for more accurate hiring insights.
