The Business Process Analyst will lead process discovery, documentation, and process/system mapping for the Utility’s New Business Division. This role will partner with operational teams across residential, commercial/industrial, large projects, and application-to-first-bill functions to capture current-state workflows, clarify roles and handoffs, document standard operating procedures, and develop process and systems maps that support consistent execution and future improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
4+ years in process mapping, process documentation, operations analysis, or business analysis
Proven experience facilitating workshops and translating SME input into clear, executable process maps
Strong proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Signavio, ARIS)
Strong written communication skills (SOPs, policies, procedural documentation)
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and prioritize across competing needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a utility environment (electric/gas) and/or customer connection/service request workflows
Familiarity with utility systems such as CIS, GIS, work management, design/estimating tools, billing start processes
Lean/Six Sigma training or continuous improvement experience
Experience creating business/system context diagrams, data flow diagrams, or application integration maps
