New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestselling book details a methodology for learning how to think differently by tapping into your right brain--the source of creativity, intuition and problem solving skills. Revised, updated version that includes how methodology works in Ideation sessions in corporate America. Released by Simon and Schuster in August, 2014.

Based on Roger Sperry's Nobel Prize winning discovery about the independence of consciousness between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Book cites the methodology that transformed my life ten years ago I interviewed hundreds of test subjects to determine if this process could work equally well for others. Eight of those subject stories are captured in the book along with an easy to follow methodology to gain better insights about the barriers and obstacles you face in life.

The book also details how this work can be applied to strategic thinking to help turbo charge the actually "thinking" part of the strategic thinking process. The book reveals an "on-demand" way of capturing the fleeting flash of brilliance we may get in the shower or while listening to a favorite song. It's proven to be an effective tool for helping management teams think differently (truly) about their products, customers and strategies. By tapping into the deep recesses of the mind, it's possible to truly get a second opinion, of sorts, that can provide fresh insights to problem solving.

How organizations can apply this methodology to transform their companies? The topic of my second book.

But, SWOT, invented at Stanford University, fifty years ago more appropriately defines "Inside the Box" thinking as it is so familiar and over used.

How can we learn to truly think differently about strategy? We must learn a new modality for thinking, a revolutionary way of thinking about all that we know so well.

Applying the Nobel prize winning discovery about brain function to the ground breaking process that's been used in Art Schools and in Psychotherapy is a great way to think differently about the approach to Strategic Thinking.

The approach is one of activating the right hemisphere of the brain to tap into a fresh, creative place where ideas often lurk as they typically wait for that moment of inspiration that comes occasionally in the shower or while listing to music or walking on the beach. The objective is to harness this power "on demand" rather than to wait for inspiration to hit periodically. This approach is based on the past seven years of research and working with teams from both small and global sized companies. The methodology is described in, Thought Revolution, published by Simon & Schuster in 2014. Specific business cases are examined in the new updated edition.

Result? Innovative ideas, capturing the blinding obvious and ideas that transform the bottom line. Works in small as well as global companies as a problem solving tool.
