Have you ever felt some emotion, but not known what content you can look at to help you with that emotion? Look no further than emotiscope. emotiscope is an iOS app that asks users "How you doin'?" and recommends content based on the answer. Users open the app and determine their emotion, either by choosing it manually or taking a photo of your face and putting it through the Alamofire API to determine the emotion based on dozens of points on your face. This emotion is passed into the GIPHY API, which then displays GIFs tagged with that emotion. These GIFs are able to be swiped through by the user.
In the future, we'd like to expand the types of content recommended, including music from Spotify and videos from YouTube. In addition, we'd like to incorporate a machine-learning algorithm to recommend content based not only on the user's current emotion, but their preference for certain types of content (i.e.cat GIFs, rock music) and their previous actions (i.e. they like listening to happy music when they're feeling sad).Other creators -

Stars & Stripes
This is website we made to display the predictions for each candidate's winnings in a state against the actual amount of delegates they won.
We are constructing a horizontal bar graph separated by state using HTML canvas elements and JavaScript. Each state bar will be separated into more columns for the candidates, and these subcolumns will be colored to represent the targeted number of delegates and the actual number of delegates (if the state has allocated their delegates yet).Other creators -

Callidate is a Flask-based web application meant to serve as a platform for the youth of America to get involved in politics. On the landing page there is information about each of the candidates and a timeline of the upcoming debates. Next there is a forum, which displays messages from the users in real-time using JavaScript and a Firebase database. Another feature is the blog, where users can log in and write longer content, or merely browse through others' posts. The posts are stored in a SQLite database and are displayed using Python. Our final feature is a search bar, which allows users to query information and see results from Twitter and the New York Times, so as to compare publicly and editorially curated content about the political environment. This feature uses the Tweepy and NYT APIs to scrape data from Twitter and the New York Times, respectively, and then displays that information using Python.Other creatorsSee project -
Times Tweets
This is a website that lets you search for whatever you want, and shows you what the New York Times and Twitter had to say about it. The user inputs a search term, which is what they would like to know about. The website uses the New York Times and Twitter APIs, as well as Python algorithms, to bring the user the results.

i'm bored
i'm bored is a social availability web app that makes connecting and hanging out with people simple and effortless. I worked on managing the Firebase database information, and attempted to connect i'm bored to the Twilio API in order to enable in-app messaging. We are going to continue working on this project, and I will continue to work on in-app messaging, most likely using a Firbase-backed forum, as well as try to develop i'm bored into an iOS/Android app.

debAPP
We each worked together to create a debate-scoring web-based app, which, at this point, can be greatly improved. I helped work on the UI of the app, using HTML and CSS, as well as its functionality, such as the display of results and the interactivity of the buttons, by writing in JavaScript. In the span of two weeks, this was a successful product, but there is always room to improve.

The World's 50 Smartest Teens
The Best School
There have always been some pretty smart — make that incredibly smart — teenagers around.
For the most part, “wunderkinder” are just like you and me — just much smarter.
We list our teen geniuses in alphabetical order. In a few instances, we have interpreted “teenager” (a bit generously: To be able to include some young people who have only recently turned 20; and also to include a 10-year-old who is a member of a truly remarkable family. -
