Here’s a pattern I’m seeing more often: More sites. More assessments. More reporting expectations. Same headcount. Security teams are being asked to scale output without scaling structure. So what happens? Assessments become episodic. Reporting takes too long. Prioritization becomes subjective. And leaders spend more time translating risk than reducing it. This isn’t a capability issue. It’s an architecture issue. At some point, physical security has to operate with the same operational discipline as finance and IT. 🚨 BREAKING: PSA Security Network and The Access Control Collective release State of Security Integrators 2026 Report Built on PSA’s Financial Metrics Survey with input from 116 integrators, this report offers a level of industry clarity you won’t find anywhere else. The data shows an industry that is strong and growing, but not yet durable. More than 90% expect revenue growth. Margins remain healthy. Demand continues across education, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. Most security incidents are preceded by detectable signals such as anomalous behavior, credential exposure, or emerging infrastructure misuse. The challenge is identifying and acting on these indicators early enough to matter. Proactive risk mitigation focuses on correlating intelligence with internal telemetry to surface exposure points before they are weaponized. When teams have contextual, high-fidelity insights, they can harden configurations, enforce preventive controls, and pre stage response actions that limit attacker movement.
