Temporary and contract employees are set to be celebrated by staffing and recruiting firms across the country during the American Staffing Association’s National Staffing Employee Week, held Sept. 8-15 this year. National Staffing Employee Week is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of more than 11 million temporary and contract workers in the U.S. labor market. These skilled staffing employees play vital roles across virtually every industry and occupation, with 40% employed in higher-skill roles. The week will kick off with the official announcement of the National Staffing Employee of the Year and sector-specific All-Stars, and continue with local events and activities across the country held by firms and outreach on social media using the hashtag #NSEW25. “Temporary and contract work is a way for millions of workers to advance their careers with flexibility and access to new opportunities,” said Richard Wahlquist, chief executive officer at ASA. “Staffing employees are contributing to the prosperity of companies, communities, and the U.S. economy, working in roles from entry level to the executive suite. ✨ Behind Every Military Spouse, There's a Story | Employee Spotlight ✨ ⚓Four and a half years as a Navy spouse has given Stephanie a unique perspective as our Leave Case Manager at Instant Teams. Currently stationed at JEB Little Creek, she brings the rare insight of having been both active duty and a military spouse to her customer interactions. 🎶For 23 years she's played the flute (and oboe!). She also enjoys finding and refining new recipes in the kitchen. Her hobbies reflect the same creativity and dedication she brings to perfecting customer experiences. 💪The adaptability she's developed both from serving and from now supporting her spouse through high-pressure military moments directly translates to how she handles complex customer needs. 🏃‍♀️"Being able to be flexible while maintaining a workspace that supports what I need to do in my role has been so important," she shares.
