The mission of FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is to inspire young people to become leaders in science, technology, and engineering through mentor-based, hands-on programs that build technical skills, creativity, communication, and confidence.

I began as a volunteer judge for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) — and quickly saw the incredible impact this program has on students, mentors, and communities. Today, as a board member and CMO, I help expand awareness, engagement, and volunteer support statewide so even more young people can discover their potential through STEM.

I’m deeply committed to Colorado Companies to Watch® (CCTW) and the incredible entrepreneurs it celebrates! My journey began as a volunteer in the program’s early years, inspired by founding Program Director Stephanie Veck and CCTW’s vision to elevate Colorado’s most innovative and high-performing second-stage businesses. Over time, my involvement, and my passion for supporting Colorado entrepreneurs has grown in every way imaginable.

After several years of volunteering, I joined the Board as Marketing Chair, later helped form and joined the Legacy Board, became the Judge Facilitator, and through Crazy Good Marketing® (CGM), helped CCTW expand its reach and impact as the organization’s Program Management Partner. I now serve as Program Director overseeing operations, marketing, partnerships, and program growth, and continue to volunteer as the Legacy Board Chair and Judge Facilitator.

Each role has strengthened my belief in the power of community and recognition to help businesses thrive. I’m proud to contribute to a program that has helped hundreds of Colorado companies scale, create jobs, and lead with innovation.

I’m deeply committed to CCTW’s mission and to the incredible ecosystem of entrepreneurs who make Colorado one of the best places to build and grow a business.

We’re now gearing up for our 18th year and the 2026 Award Season!
If you know a company that’s making an impact in Colorado, a company you want to support and high five, I encourage you to nominate them at https://www.ColoradoCompaniesToWatch.org/Nominate and help us continue celebrating the businesses that define Colorado’s future.
