The enterprise data market is other segment that represents a strategic sector for data based cloud tools. SAP, had its challanges to the ETL integrations market, Oracle has their own ERP, deployed in their own cloud infrastructure plus with Netsuite acquisition, they both have an important market share in ERP solutions. SAP has made strategically partnerships with Databricks to integrate their product with SAP BTP and BDC tools, allowing share data with external services in two way syncs. Snowflake got zero-copy from SAP and Google Bigquery is going to be official the next year. It seems that Oracle is going to bet on more vertical solutions inside their platform and SAP is going to be more open to external strategic providers. This market still is shifting and we are going to see more chapters next.

Many Oracle EBS users face a common problem: file attachments stored as BLOBs within the database. This practice, once standard, is now a significant strain, leading to expensive database resources being consumed, high maintenance costs, and poor performance. Oracle EBS simply wasn't designed for this. Our latest case study highlights a global steel producer who successfully tackled this issue head-on with the AventX A2A Attachment Migration solution. By automatically migrating hundreds of thousands of attachments out of their Oracle database to external storage like SharePoint Online, they achieved massive reductions: a 99.74% decrease in database space used and a 98.58% decrease in the total number of files stored directly in the database! SAP - Alternatives to SAP's Rise Solution with Spinnaker Support SAP customers are all being confronted wit SAP's push to move to its SAP's Rise solution (renamed to as SAP Cloud ERP Private). The business case typically consists of three components: a) existing ECC supports, b) SAP Cloud ERP Private licenses (aka RISE) and c) migration and process re-engineering. End-users can often easily see the costs of ECC (as they are paying this today), but the costs of SAP Cloud ERP Private is less clear as the SKU's are changing (as we speak). Its even much less clear what the cost of the actual migration and process changes are going to be to adapt the clients ERP & processes to the new SAP product set. Implementing SAP in a green field scenario is much more cost effective than a migration of existing ECC customisations to SAP Cloud ERP Private. Postponing the move for 3-7 years is another option (like Madrilena Gas did to have the time to let the marketplace for migrations mature and to ultimately get a better deal). Postponing gives organisations the opportunity to take control over the business case (and achieve savings against ECC costs) whilst the choices are appropriately considered.
